Radiohead to Play Benefit for Haiti in L.A.

This Sunday, January 24, Radiohead will be holding a “surprise” benefit show at the Music Box at the Fonda in L.A. to raise money for the Oxfam Haiti relief fund.
In order to make as much money as possible, the tickets will be [have been] sold through auction, some at about $100 each. The auction started Thursday 8:00PM PST and ended Saturday 11:00AM PST.
Drummer Phil Selway stated on Dead Air Space, ”We’re in the middle of recording at the moment, so you’ll be catching us on the fly…. but if you’re up for it, then we are too.”
Well, well, well worth it.
And not to sound like a Stan, but I think that is really great of them.
UPDATE:
They raised well over $500,000 in the 1300-seat venue.
Tickets ranged from $100 to someone even paying $4,000 for a seat.
