I post music news, album reviews, playlists, best of's,
music I research, music I'm digging on, music you're digging on, etc. And sometimes, obscure references and Thom Yorke praises.
On February 25th, Thom Yorke played a low key, solo show at the Cambridge Corn Exchange to support friend and environmentalist Tony Juniper’s Parliament campaign. All proceeds went to the Green Party.
Thom performed some of his new material including “Give Up the Ghost” (see above), “The Daily Mail,” and “I Froze Up.” Also played a great Casio-heavy version of “Weird Fishes.” Most of the videos of Yorke’s performance at Cambridge Corn Exchange are on YouTube.
Thom Yorke and Tunde Adebimpe (TV on the Radio) were asked to remix and reinterperet songs for an expanded edition of Liars’ fifth studio album, Sisterworld (March 8).
Also collaborating are Blonde Redhead, Bradford Cox (Deerhunter, Atlas Sound), Melvins, Chris & Cosey from Throbbing Gristle, and Alan Vega (Suicide).
After the release of the album March 8, Liars will follow-up with a tour:

In the latest issue of NME, guitarist Ed O’Brien confirmed that Thom Yorke was misquoted in his latest interview in The Believer, which led fans to believe that Radiohead would only be releasing singles from now on. Radiohead has scheduled recording sessions for this winter and will release a full-length album in 2010.
